Who is responsible

Favorites

Places you save are stored only in this browser (localStorage) as venue IDs. They are not sent to us.

Cookies

We use one functional cookie, wigo-locale, to remember your language for up to a year. Your cookie choice is stored in this browser (localStorage, key wigo-analytics-consent).

Only if you tap “Accept” in the cookie banner, PostHog sets analytics cookies (names starting with ph_) for up to a year, so we can recognise a return visit. We don’t use advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time under “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Analytics (PostHog)

We use PostHog, run by PostHog Inc. on servers in the EU (Frankfurt), to see how wigo is used: pages viewed, taps on buttons such as Directions, Website, Call, Share or Save, searches and filters, plus your device type, browser, approximate location (city, from the IP address, which is not stored) and the referring site. Search text is stored as typed; please don’t type personal details into search. We never send your email, name, exact location or saved places.

Without consent, or after “Only essential”, PostHog counts visits without cookies or browser storage, and a visit can’t be linked to a later one. We do this based on our legitimate interest in understanding whether wigo helps people find places (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time by emailing hello@gowigo.app.

After “Accept” (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), PostHog also recognises return visits, records where on a page people tap and scroll (heatmaps), and records about 1 in 5 visits as a replay of the screen, with everything typed into fields hidden. Withdraw consent under “Cookie settings”; the cookies stop being used and replays stop.

Analytics events are kept for up to 1 year and replays for up to 30 days, then deleted. PostHog acts as our processor under a data processing agreement.

Location

We ask for your location only when you tap “near me”. It is used in your browser to sort places by distance and is not sent to us or stored.

Email

If you write to hello@gowigo.app, we use your address and message only to reply (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Mail is stored in Apple iCloud Mail (Apple Distribution International Ltd., Ireland). We delete it once the matter is closed, at the latest after 2 years.

Hosting

The site runs on Vercel (Vercel Inc., USA). When you open a page, Vercel processes technical data such as your IP address, browser and the address requested, to deliver the page and protect it from abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These server logs are kept only briefly. Vercel acts as our processor under a data processing agreement; transfers outside the EU rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

The venue catalog is stored in Supabase (servers in Ireland, EU). It contains only public information about venues, no visitor data.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent. You can also lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority (Prezes UODO).
